Why Yesterday Ruled...

1) I rode a moped in Vietnam without injury. Although I did almost run over a really sweet looking Vietnamese family.

2) for the low price of $166 (USD) I bought all this: two suits, a jacket, a pair of pants, a hat and a couple shirts. And, soon enough I will have a job to match. Ahem. Okay, maybe not a "job", but maybe at least a closet.

3) I had this conversation on the beach:
little boy: where you from?
me: Tanzania.
little boy: where you from?
jay: Russia.
little boy: what's your name?
me: Zara.
jay: Pilate.
little boy: want to buy pineapple from me?
me: no.
little boy: maybe later?
me: no.
little boy: maybe never?
me: Yes!
little boy: never say never.

4) I made my way to another sketchy after hours bar in Vietnam. Unlike Hanoi there was no scary concrete corridor and we weren't shushed when the police showed up, but it was fun nonetheless.

5) Hot Swede.

*And* this is why today doesn't rule:

1) I'm hungover.

2) Jay is leaving and that makes me sad.

3) Not only do I have to go for my fittings, but I also have to actually pay for my new clothes. And paying is never fun... especially when you don't have any money.

4) This is my last day as an insured traveller.

5) Hot Swede went to Nha Trang.
