good thing, bad thing...
I'm leaving Bangkok tonight with Sarah and Mike and heading to Chiang Mai, where we are going to frolic with elephants. The last time I saw an elephant was at Angkor, when I tripped in a ditch and rolled in front of one, narrowly escaping death (this also resulted in pointing and laughter from the 6000 Koreans traveling in herds). It's funny how those elephants can just pop out of nowhere. Okay, so I' m pretty excited about this. Good thing.
In the past two days I have said goodbye to way too many people. Neil and Marianne, Gary, Tara Lee, Jess, and Kristin all went south. Sadge, Catherine and Carrie are headed back to Cambodia. Alice went to Taiwan. Jimmy is lost in Bangkokian limbo. I'm not so happy about this. Bad thing.
My birthday party was the shit. The turn out was amazing and everyone had a wicked good time. Met cute, winking French boy. Good thing.
I lost my sunglasses, 2000 baht, travel pillow, and smashed my ipod into three pretty nice little pieces. Bad thing.
I only ate falafel today for breakfast, lunch and dinner... because I love Khao San falafels and they make me happy. Good thing.
I am home in a week. Good thing and bad thing.
