We've all heard of how atrocious the busrides are between Siam Reap and Bangkok. It is the stuff of legend in SE Asia. After flying from Vientiane to Hanoi, flying was no longer in the budget... so, I had been preparing myself accordingly. In fact, it got to the point that I was almost excited about it. Alice couldn't handle it and forked out the $150USD to fly and Jess took the bus all the way back to Phnom Penh (where she flew to BKK for a quarter of the price) to avoid the ride... but, Carrie, Catherine, Tara Lee, Kristen, Alex and Steph were all game. I'm happy to report that the rumours are either false or we were just insanely lucky. I mean, besides having no air con and being covered in dirt by the end of the trip, it was almost fun! And, oh yeah, this is our bus. It was the most ghetto of all the ghetto buses in Cambodia.
